Ms. Rogers is Great

First off I will say that this was a great class and anyone would enjoy it. Completing your work on time and understanding how to do it is key. Ms. Rogers sends out great emails that give you instructions on how to do your work, so Read Them! The class is very fun and some days you get to meet with your groups in class and then leave(20 minutes). The blog is a great idea for a grade in this course. Would you rather write this many papers during the year? Didn't think so. Just make sure to go to class, pay attention, and know what is going on, and you will do fine.

P.S. bookmark your blog page and Ms. Rogers homepage.

Badddd Governor

We did our ethics assignment on the governor of New York. Eliot Spitzer resigned as governor of New York after being involved in a high priced prostitution ring. This ring had documents referring to him as "client 9" and distorted the fact he was involved. Money that was being used had different names and numbers were altered in meaning. It made it seem as though they were doing real business instead of selling sex. This was a very prominent case and happened so recently. He was such an important client he needed to be hidden. This goes to show you that some of the most influential people in politics can stoop to all time social lows.

Ethical Lapse in the WP

I had no idea that ethical situations were a such a big deal in the workplace. I knew that there were some ethical problems, but the percentages in this document were astonishing. With ethics being such a big part of today's corporate businesses, I believe that there definately should be a program implemented to raise awareness. There may be some people who do not know what they are doing is wrong. This is where a little education can come in handy and help a companie's efficiency. An anonymous tip box could also be placed in the business for employees to take advantage of. This will help them speak there opinion without being critizied by the other co-workers. These situations seem like they need some attention, so something needs to be put in place.

Web or Paper

Writing on paper and typing on the web have similarities and differences. Writing on the web and paper can be done in the same way. A word is a word. If you don't have very good handwriting then it would be great to have access to a computer. Writing on paper is more personal than writing on the web. Anyone can take little time to type of a thank you note but if you write it by hand it shows you put effort into it. Writing on the web and sending it through email is so much faster and effiecient than written mail through the US Postal Service. When switching a document from paper to the web a problem arises. You need to make sure the type of file you save it as and that the person needing to read it can open and view that type of file. Computers can be troublesome at times. There may be a new version of a program and that you have not recieved yet, but the other person that send you an email is using. If you try to open up and important document with an older program you may be out of luck. On paper that problem would not have happened. Unless the document was ill written. There are pros and cons of both. Similar and different they are but both can be used to their advantages.
